This case report describes an orthodontic treatment of a young (15 years 10 months) male patient who had skeletal Class II malocclusion with bilateral second molar scissors bite. He also showed crowding, skeletal asymmetry, and protrusive lip profile. The bilateral second molar scissors bite was efficiently corrected using mid-palatal mini-implants and a transpalatal arch. Esthetic facial profile and functional occlusion were achieved by proper retraction of anterior dentition using buccal mini-implants. With careful attention to prevent potential complications, proper use of mini-implants broadens the scope of orthodontic treatment, especially in solving complex problems such as the ones presented in this case report.
